There’s something special about being part of a neighbourhood where local businesses support one another - not just by sharing customers, but by showing up for each other and giving back to the community we call home.
For years, Oleander has been proud to support our neighbours at Carriage Trade, the wonderful women-owned ladies’ fashion boutique just around the corner from us in The Kingsway. This September, we’re especially pleased to support them in an event that brings together two things we believe strongly in: women supporting women and local businesses supporting their community.
On September 23, Carriage Trade will host a special fashion show in support of RETHINK, an incredible organization supporting breast cancer research. As another women-owned business in the neighbourhood, Oleander is honoured to be designing and donating all of the florals for the event.
We’ve donated flowers to support many local causes and events over the years, but this one feels particularly meaningful. It’s an opportunity for two women-owned businesses to come together, support a cause that affects so many women and their families, and shine a little light on the importance of community.
You Can Support, Too
There are several ways to get involved. Visit Carriage Trade directly to learn more about the September 23 event and support their fundraising efforts.
You can also support the cause through Oleander. We’re carrying This Did Good Women’s Mismatched Breast Cancer Socks, a fun and meaningful way to show your support while contributing to a good cause.
And, of course, there are flowers.
Inspired by the florals we’re creating for the Carriage Trade event, we’ve designed a smaller arrangement that you can take home and enjoy. When you purchase this special arrangement, Oleander will donate a percentage of the proceeds to Rethink Breast Cancer.
